Decaf, considered
Swiss Water, sugarcane, CO2: what the methods mean and why they matter for taste.

Decaffeination is a processing step, not a flavour. The method does influence the cup, and good roasters print it on the bag. We only show a method when the roaster states it; we never infer one.
The main methods
Swiss Water and Mountain Water use water and carbon filters. Sugarcane EA uses ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane, usually in Colombia, and often leaves a rounded sweetness. CO2 uses pressurised carbon dioxide.
Choosing
If you select “Decaf” as a filter on Meet Your Coffee, it is treated as a hard constraint: nothing regular is shown, and a tasting set only qualifies if every coffee inside it is decaffeinated.
